1/8 to 1/4 line from the out on the sound card to the left record in on the mpc

You just plug a cable from the output on your soundcard to the input on the MPC. What kind of cable you'll need depends on what kind of soundcard you have.

You got a mixer?
If not, connect the PC (From the soundcards LINE OUT- Im assuming your using a standard soundblaster type soundcard) to the REC ins of the MPC using a 'Y' cable with 1/4" jacks on the other end (these go in to the MPC)
Once you got this hooked up, plug your head phones into the MPC so you can monitor your levels.
Hit SHIFT > 4 (Sample). Sample screen is now ready. Get a good level on the gain...Not to high tho. You dont want too much hiss etc. Increase the master gain/volume on your PC.
The rest is just is just like sampling from a turntabel etc...Trial & Error till you get the right take!
Demo a sample(press play watever on cooledit)...Watch the levels on the MPC...Is it peaking jus right? A good level is just below the exceed mark.

Sorry to hear that But I cant beat that man......I need him to keep winning right no....... its close right now its been 44 years since we had a superbowl win we need this right now.........put a G on the Birdz next week against NC. you will make it back partner......once again sorry to hear about the lost of $$$$$

It's all gravy, between the Patriots and Colts I'm still up. I'm gonna have to wait and see what the line is on the NFC title game.

Is there some particular reason that you can't just save the wavs. and export them via floppy or zip?

I was thinkin' the same thing but I don't think the 2000 can read wav. files.

I believe it depends on the O.S. that you use. A friend of mines get samples from me time to time and I use wav. format for quick transfer purposes.
