Check out Pelican cases. They make them in all shapes and sizes. They have the foam inserts on the inside that you can pull out to customize to the size of the MPC. These things are bulletproof and water resistant. I have a few that I use for my cameras. Check www.bhphoto.com

lol....hehe..cool thanks, I thought it was SKB..but just had my ears open for some new stuff. The akai bag is not available till 2nd or the 6th of Feburary and I need it by then so that I can take it with me on my flight instead of using some plain old accessory bag or something. I'm going out of town for almost 6 months, so you know I have to take that darn MPC with me or I'll be having some mean withdrawal symptoms. It worst than kicking the smoking habit. :(

heres the bag: http://www.americanmusical.com/st/aspx/ ... n/item.htm

call around in your home town (or anchorage) , especially at places that rent pro sound and light gear. there is good chance that they might have a hard case like you need just sitting around...

i dont think you want a soft case, especially if you're going by airplane...

There is absolutely nothing here in fairbanks, alaska. The weather is so bad sometimes that it a struggle to get to Anchorage half the time. Im marooned here. :(

Im just going to do a carry-on like a laptop. Im sure its about the same size just a little thicker.

yeah, i wasnt thinking about the weather... here in portland, it snows two inches and the whole town shuts down for three days. (it be funny if it wasnt true).

be sure to make copies of any disks you are taking with you, and if you can have the security inspect them by hand do this. itd suck to get off the plane and find all your disks are blank thanks to the x-ray machines...

Yeah I know. I probably will be taking all blank disk going, but coming back its going to be a challenge. :( I want to leave all of my tracks behind in archive and start from scratch again.

carry-on with the MPC is great. cuts down on paying for extra baggage weight. just a pity you cant use it on the plane.
