Cant hear XR module

Quick question. I have my XR connected to my 2000xl, but can't hear the sounds. Mind you I'm not using a mixer. I had this same setup using my MV8000. My connection was midi in XR to midi out (MV), but because I wasnt using a mixer I ran the XR audio out (L) to the audio in (L) of the MV, with no problem, was able to hear the sounds of the XR via pads or midi controller, but not with the 2000xl. What am I missing with the XL.

A mixer, a midi controller, some speakers, and um .......some patience.

?? A mixer is not needed, nor is a midi controller, also headphones will do the same job. Did you honesly think I was just sitting in front of the 2000 waiting for sound to jump out with no speakers attached, come on!!! I also said a controller was connected and receives the signal via pads or controller. What's missing, is your 'repsonse'. So, lets see - Works with the MV and not with the MPC, I would have taken that answer and swallowed it better then some lame "get your read on", that's funny. Like goes on, with the MV of course.....

2 different boxes playboy. Now go back to your MV. Only the 1k and 25k have the direct record to the tracks like a MV. U need a mixer

check that video, seems he had the same problem, and solved it by hooking his keyboard up to the mixer. he was using a 2500

Yeah, I already figured that the XL cant do it. But it would have been great if that was the first answer that I received, instead of what I saw as 'negative' feedback. But it's all good. "Now go back to your MV", , dude - I never left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
