Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hey guys I have had my MPC 2000xl MCD for about a year now and for the past couple days it has been acting funny. Whenever I load a sound to a pad on the DRUM 1 is appears on all four drum programs and if I try to Load a Sound on any pad in Drum 2 it replaces it. I think that my Programs are somehow acting as one. I looked in the manual for this and could not find anything relating to this. Please if anyone knows just what it might be could you please let me know? I think it might be an OS bug

That sounds like you are loading an actual pgm file.

Learn what files the your mpc supports and what they do.
Read the friendly manual.

If there is a sample already there, it will be replaced.

Yes i understand the difference between files and am very familiar with the manual. the files are .SND files not . APS and this has never happened before. I am loading sounds onto DRUM Program 1 and when i load sounds to DRUM program 2 it replaces all the sounds that were loaded to DRUM program 1. Any ideas?

That will always happen. You will just have to re-DRUM the programs back to their normal DRUMS.
