How do i get my sample to play only as long as i touch pads

how do i get my sample to play only as long as i touch the pads for example right now if i hit the pad it will play the whole sample i want it set to where it will play for how ever long i hold down the pad. how do i adjust this is there a function. any help i apprecite it

yes, the function exists.

try setting your voice overlap from poly to note off.

if your sample is two seconds, but you want to hold the pad for 4 seconds and have the sample play over 4 seconds. then you have to set your loops to loop. so go into your editing page, and and turn on the looping feature.

I left you my number on myspace, but I think I figured out what your problem is....

If you go into programs, then push drum 1, and then select params (this is the same screen you speed up and slow down samples through)....you'll see a function called VOICE OVERLAP! Switch it from POLY, to NOTE OFF. This will allow you to play the sample only as long as you're holding the pad.

Check out the MONO one too. It makes it so you can repeatedly hit the pad without the whole sound playin. It'll just play until you hit the pad again....
