S900 8 output board compatible with MPC2kXL?

Browsing ebay brought me accross an S900 selling for an absurd price. I opened the sale just to scoff at the seller but when he claimed the 8-out board is removable from the S900 and usable in a MPC2000xl it caught my attention.
Is this true? I know little about Akai compatibility (besides the S/MPC 2k) and it's hard to search for answers... can you guys steer me in the right direction so I can make a judgement on this sale.

i know its the same board for like the s2000 etc... but not sure about the s900 id ask him if the board has a part number...
