Flash ROM for MPC 2000 anywhere available ?

I`ve heard of the possibility to put a Flash ROM into the MPC 2000 ,checked the web but there`s noone selling them...so..who`s selling them,are different types of it possible to fit?

No there was a specific Akai model and it serves no real purpose plus cost a lot.

hi ntalec ,you seem to be fit...so let me know something more.what specific model was it ?how many ROM has been put in there...

The original models were FMX008M (MPC2000xl) and FMC-01 (MPC2000).
Some say they are interchangable???
They are 8 MB and were quite expensive.
List price were $645 for the FMX and $499 for the FMC.
That's a lot for 8MB of playback storage that you still have to transfer into the RAM to edit them.
