I recently purchased a MPC2000XL MCD.
I was trying to sample with it, but the option for recording that's supposed to be above int F6 button wasn't there. I pressed the open window button and realized that the MPC wasn't reading the memory. It actually turns out there was no memory in the two slots (I bought it slightly used from guitar center,) so i installed the two 16MB memory cards i purchased to upgrade the MPC. Still again it didn't work.
I don't have an zip drive and don't have a external hard drive. I have tried to install the OS Version 1.20 by downloading it from AkaiPro.com, dragging the icon onto the Compact Flash Card, putting the Flash Card into the MPC, and loading the OS onto the MPC.
Is this a problem with MPC hardware reading the memory or a problem with loading the OS Ver. 1.20 incorrectly?
