Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By tundek30 Thu Jan 15, 2004 9:32 pm
Is there an easier way to find the bpm of a sample that I have just sample to the mpc2000xl. I have a way that i normally use but it takes too long for longer samples, which is counting the beats to a specific bpm in my head then setting the loop to that. It there a more efficient way to complete this task.

help would be appreiciated

'go into the TRIM screen and hit EDIT> scroll to TIME STRETCH and hit BPM> select the right amount of beats for the loop and it should tell you what bpm your loop is at in the Source tempo field'

cooocooo1 posted this the other day so I stole it for you!!

And if you find LAMPDOG's name, click on his reply and he has a million links in a thread he has created with apps to do this and more.

you could also just use the tap tempo button.
