Card Reader for $17. Will this work with 2k

There is no power connector on this drive. Will this install in the 2k by getting power some other way? Or will this not work at all?

Nope. It has that wierd dual SCSI connector at both ends.

I don't see why it wouldnt work. The pic of the "wierd dual SCSI connector" is on the included SCSI card. I use a PCMCIA drive (Microtech DPA) which is a PCMCIA card reader. I just bought a PCMCIA to Compact Flash adapter and it works fine with a 2kxl. I think if you mounted it in a 3.5 inch SCSI enclosure it would work. Thats where it would get its power from.

There is nothing wrong with using a PCMCIA card reader in the MPC but this particular one won't work.
where are you going to hook up the dual end connector to complete the circuit???
