Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I have a Roland Juno-G keyboard and MPC 2000XL. I can't for the life of me figure out how to use the midi to hear my keyboard sounds in the mp or vice versa. I know midi isn't audio, I have all the cables, tried most of the channels, evrything, but I'm sure there's something i'm doing wrong. I've been sampling my keyboard, but I'd like to know how to use the midi. If there's anybody with a midi keyboard and XL who knows how to use it, if it's not too much trouble, could u give me a step by step of what u do and maybe I can take it from there?

can you refraze that post, becuase you are saying two different things..
your keyboard isn't midi becuase has it own sounds... So you kind of answered the question yourself... becuasse if you are sampling from you keyboard where do you get midi from.
I have a m audio keyboard without any sounds, in I get all my sounds from reason 3.0 to put into the my keyboard.
(i'm preety shaw you know this, but your mpc dont have any sounds either
SO first decide if you want midi or audio to work with.
then we all can help

What I'm saying is, I create a melody or something on the keys and sample it on to the mpc using the sampling inputs, just like if I was using a turntable. What I wanna learn is I how to use my keyboard with the mp using the MIDI inputs. I know that MIDI is a way for two musical instruments to speak to each other, what steps do I take, or for anyone with a MIDI keyboard with sounds in it already, how do u make that happen? Hope that clarifies.
