what exactly do you mean when you say hooked to a computer program?

MEANING

is there any way to hook my mpc to my computer through a computer program such as pro tools and or reason and make music that way aswell
drum loops i make etc

or the mpc2000 is just a stand alone unit ?????

You can hook your MPC up via midi to your PC and have the mpc controlling the sequencer or vice versa.

Also take a look at MPC Editor a software program that allows you to make programs on your pc using .wav samples on your pc using drag n drop.

You can then use the finished program complete with samples and transfer it over to your mpc via zip or floppy.
