16 track or Pro tools

I was thinking about buying a 16 track and a new mackie mixer...but would it be better to instead get pro tools and the console for it http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/P ... -main.html

Personally its up to you. Whatever you feel is more your work vibe. I will say in my perspective to go with the M-Audio Mixproject with Pro Tools because it does offer a excellent service to working in a digital work vibe.


But as I said, it's a personal choice and its up to you. I would check out your local music stores and see if they got the Project Mix for demo use and see if it's worth your money and time.

my preference is a hardware recorded, that can easily export tracks into my DAW of choice on my computer for mixing and editing.


again, I like to use both
tracking = hardware korg d3200
mixing/ editing = mac ableton live, digital performer
