Loading Pause

I havnt had my MPC200xl long so im not sure if this is normal But it has the built in flash memory with the operating system save on it. and I also maxed out the memory put in the zip drive and added the fx card

WHen i first cut on the MPC it seems to take forever to load up the system (what shoufl the normal time be approximatly?)

Also with i first load something from the zip it pauses for a long time as well.

Any ideas folks? bad memory bad zip? bad operating system (should be up to dat)

do you have the right type of memory installed in your unit???? load time really should be way less than 1 minute

mine takes like 5 minues or so to load about 30 samples

Mine also seems to pause when you first turn it on and when you first load from the internal zip as well. It's almost like it's waiting for the zip drive for some reason.

I feel yall on that one, but the processor isn't very fast. But I do stuff like look for vinyl or turn on my CDROM, so by the time my CDROM is in synch the whole setup is ready. That's why I asked a ? about UPC backups so that I wouldn't have to LOOSE anything or wait thru the drama of re-loading everything after a surge or such.
