I used to format mine in windows. if you right click on the drive name then I think you should see Format in the menu. Then I forgot what one you want to choose. I think choose FAT or something?
anyway, whatever zips are best for you then use them. there's only 2 types I believe. the 100mb and the 250mb. they both serve the same purpose.

Usb external or you can get internal drive.If you want or your computers old enough to have one already installed you can hook your scsi zip drive up to your computer.You'll need a scsi card for your computer first for that though,most scsi cards are cheap on ebay.

So once i get a scsi card, I can hook that up to my computer, then be able to format my own disk to work with the mpc?

No the scsi card only allows you to hook up an external scsi zip drive to the computer,if your drives internal on the mpc a usb zip drive would be best.

Are these the only ones that work with the MP2kxl? I saw on Amazon some disks with 750mb, so those won't work?

Might be wrong but, I believe 750mb drives are only available as USB.

I havent heard of ANYONE who used a 750mb drive with their mpc. pilchard may know better then I do on this. I wouldnt even take a chance with it, tbh.
