Someone has offered me a 2000xl with no zip drive or expanded memory. Originally I wanted to buy a mpc1000, but is this a good deal? Should I just settle for this?

I've bought my xl for 50€ more with the 32MB and it was in absolute mint condition. I also got a card reader for 75€ and the eb fx board for 125€...Just to give you an idea of the prices.

A lot of people seem to doubt between a 1000 and an xl when starting out. Some buy a 1000 and say they absolutely love it. Others buy an xl and say they absolutely love it. It's all a matter of what you want in your mpc.

If you want most features, go with a 1000 and JJ OS. You might have to fix the pads after a while since they seem to die rather quickly.

Yeah I think it's a pretty good deal for an xl.

But xl vs 1000 is all a matter of personal preference. Me personally I wouldn't trade my xl for a 1000 ever. But other people will think the oposite.

I dunno how you plan on working and what other gear you have though. Best thing is to try em out before making a decision.

Good luck with your purchase.

Yep, 2000XL is better as a solid studio machine and more of a pro choice. Plus the full size pads makes it comfy.

If your in near London, Im selling one with expanded memory and cd drive, cables for £350 and can also add a internal card reader for £25.

Let me know!!!!!!

Honestly and Im an XL man FOR LIFE. For that price I would just cop the 1k. There is no way in HELL you should pay that much money for a STOCK XL thats crazy. Look around you can get them REALY CHEAP if their stock. But if I had the choice of an XL with no upgrades and a 1k I would pick the 1k cause it offers more out the box.
