Broken Note Variation Slider?

Hi guys,

I'm a newbie to this forum - a friend of mine recently gave me an MPC 2000 thats been lying around his house for a few years, it's in mint condition bar one thing - I don't think the note variation slider is working!

If I shift-press the "After" button to assign, then press pad 1 say and set it to filter, while I'm in that screen should the slider adjust the cutoff? Because it doesn't...nor does it ever seem to.

Any ideas / good places to get repairs? Cheers!

Dude you have to do your research and find a repair centre nearest to you...

My 2000xl was down for like six months till I decided to give it in for repair
now its like brand new again.

Its well worth doing

BTW I'm living in Holland right now so it wasnt easy

It should adjust the filter in that screen.

Thanks very much for your replies guys - I had a look f or a repair centre before I posted but could only find a German one! I'm in Scotland, by the way.

Thanks for confirming that it is indeed bust, I will try to get it repaired asap. I think I might actually sell the MPC soon anyway as it doesn't really fit into my setyup, despite its all-round coolness.
