bumed mpc still not working,

I still cant get this mpc to work,

it keeps freezing when I try and save a program with sounds


I even bought new ram and uploaded the new 1.20 O.S.

Im wishing I would of got something newer like a 1000xl, that way I could be taking it back right now

the dude that I bought it from for 750 is not even returning any phone calls or sending me back a email

Im tempted to just drag his ass out of the apartment and get my hard earned money back

you should! i advice you, find a repair centre near you and take it for repair. i feel your pain, but believe me you don't want a mpc1000

Yea Ill probably end up taking it to a repair center, dunno

I tried out a 1000 today,

samples seemed to load up much faster and the idea of using the usb port to sync makes me think maybe I can use a 1000 as a trigger finger for ableton 6,


Ive been trying to get the mpc to respond with ableton as a controller via usb and I am having a hard time with that



I dont really like the pads on the 1000 though, and I dont like how the screen doesnt pop up

The 1000 cannot be used via USB as a controller, it must be routed through a MIDI interface and used with MIDI cables... Get a MIDISPORT UNO.. those are cheap and easy to use , then hook up the ins and outs to the MPC via a couple of MIDI cables.

Yeah, I'd just take it to get repaired, it might be something simple. I gotta 2000xl and I don't have any problems with loading or saving programs. I've worked on a 1000 a little and messed with the 2500 and I'd much rather have the 2kxl

I can save programs just fine,

the only problem is when I try to save them with the sounds the mpc will freeze
