How exactly does the mpc load files from these...

Do I just put wav files on a floppy disk and load the sounds or does the floppy have to be formatted into a special format? Lastly i'm looking to buy a x12 cdrom can i burn wavs to that and load them directly into the mpc2000xl?

If the cdrom and the floppy have to be formatted, then how do i format them? I did read the manual and my question is still not fully answered so I'm posting here.

1) Yes you need to format the floppy in MPC
2)Yes you can take sounds from a cd-rom but you can't burn from the mpc to cd

So let me ask can I burn wavs directly from comp to cd and then load wavs into mpc? Does the cd need to formatted?

Sorry don't mean to offend you but can you confirm this because the manual says you need to format it...

I usually just drop the wavs on a disk and load straight into the mpc2000xl. I've never had a problem. If you format the disk in the mpc, windows can't recognize it. MPCediter has an application thats supposed to help with file transfers.
