Mpc Manuel

im the one that cant work his mpc


i got the 2k xl manuel but its not the 2000 manuel is this why perhaps i dont know how to work the mpc and the manuel sais products vary and arent accurate from model to model i have the old school 2k not the XL

i apologize im very much a noob at the mpc i can work pro tools and FL 7 pretty good infact like a champ if i got enough Vst's and a midi controller i do good enough but mpc is very very new to me infact i saved up and i was raving about getting it first thing i noticed about it was going to be a cognitive process to make music not of ease you have to go through all this stuff to just get the sounds you want to the 16 pads my buddy has a Esoniq drum sampler those things are easy to use and make great sound but didnt end up haveing enough cash for it so i went with the mpc witch i wanted to get before the esoniq

aside from asking if you guys know where i can get a 2000 manuel

what do you think about mpc's drum sampler / midi interface compared to Rolands drum samplers vw's or what ever there called ???

I haven't worked with the 2000 but I'm sure since they're different models they'll have different functions and features so yes the manual would be different.

I think I remember seeing downloadable manuals on www.forat.com. Check there.

i find mpcs easier than fl guess because i learned on it but just learn it and youll be able to do music on any mpc just get use to it but yeah just practice and download that manual, read up

Make sure you save a copy to your local hard drive for easy access.

I started out with Fruity Loops back in the day ( a good 7 years ago) and it wasn't what it is today. But, it is what I learned on. So, now I got my first MPC and yeah, its a different approach. But just think back to when you first started on Fruity Loops and Pro Tools. At first, things take some time to do even easy tasks. Its just the process of learning the machine. Give it some time. You'll be back here in a few months givin people tips on how to do things.

naw you dont have to buy theres alot of links out there

just ERASE ALL THE SPACES in between that link dont know why but it said disney.com or something like that but just delete spaces it should work

now this might sound like a dumb question when you guys get your sounds off the disk's and load them onto the mpc floppy disk's that is
when you put your kick drums to the pad and use does it have a fuzzy noise that follows it i loaded a couple kick drums does the same thing every time the claps and snares are fine

does this have to do me making the resolution from 8 bit to 16 or something ?

if it follows maybe you can trim it off without cuttin off the decay
the only time i've heard fuzz is going from 16 converting back to 8 bit.

also when i load disk's into it

it sais not enough memory


is there a way to check the sounds i already have on my mpc ?

cause when i try to load new sounds sais not enough memory

also is there a way to find out if you have a 32 meg memory instead of 2 meg without taking it apart to look inside cause when i bought it off ebay the sale said 32 meg's of memory

also i read that 2k's are supceptibale to freezing and screwing up cause there older models

welp here is the low down

i read in the manuel if you dont save the programs you worked on and just turn off the mpc all your samples are lost and sequences you did

earlier i loaded a couple sounds into them a tubular bell a kick clap snare and high hat just to see what the 2k can do it played most of them but some on the disk i put in the mpc it sais unknown file type
but there wav files

now my mpc isnt takeing any more files off the disk's i put in cause its said out of memory or memory to low i believe

shouldnt of the mpc just delete all of the sounds when it got turned off
i didnt even use a program the dude on ebay and the ebay add said 32 megs of memory that should hold some samples but i think it might not be 32 meg memory if im having troubles with low memoy

yup, everything should erase off of the memory should be deleted when u turn it off and back on unless you save it. it doesn't sound like you have the 32 unless its faulty or or something
