I've had the xl now for over a month, and no problems until yesterday. I turned on the machine and loaded the same .ALL and .APS files i always use. Took an old piano riff that i'd sampled earlier, trimmed it, tuned it down and made it into a loop and assigned it to a pad. Made a new sequence and matched it to the tempo of the sample.
The sound starts at about 90000 and ends at about 250000, and I put the loop starting point at 120000 or something, so that when the sequence plays there is a kind of a kick in that's just on the first bar. Then i recorded the loop on track 1 and banged some drums on tracks 2 and 3 and applied swing to the two later tracks. After that i turned the swing off. Then i listened to the sequence for a while and it sounded good, everything in the same tempo and all is good.
Then i saved the .APS and the .ALL files, listened to it once more and shut the machine down. However, as i turned the machine on later and loaded everything as always, the sound was not looped anymore. Also, i had tuned it to -30 and now it was -12 . So that when i played the seq the drums were the same but the piano was totally off. WTF? Anyone had similar problems? I'm still learning this ish and i might have done something wrong, but i only trimmed and looped the sample, and i've done that a hundred (well, almost) times before..
