So I'm going to look at an 8-outs board for sale...

I am going to look at an 8-outs board tomorrow.

Is there anything I should be looking for, any tell-tale signs that its a good buy?

I did a search here but didnt find anything, but I did find out about people selling chiseled down 8-outs boards from the akai-s series.

So again, any tips please people?

The ones from akai s series don't fit. At least that's what I noticed on ebay and on this board as well.
You may want to look for 8 outs with metal board, to mount it properly in the mpc. Not sayin' that it won't work without a metal plate, it's just easier to mount it then.

Mpcstuff.com got em in stock sealed from akai if ur willing to throw down the loot

went today and it all seemed cool so i took it, and it worked.

installing it wasnt even hard, and for me thats saying something.
