Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

When I chop a sample and create zones for lets say 8 zones how do I get the sample on each pad to stop playing into the other pads that I hit. It sounds like a stupid question but when I hit a pad and then go to the next and play to the beat both zones mesh with each other. Is there a setting that I am not utilizing? I NEED FEEDBACK PLZ!!!

after poly and mono there's also note off. the note will only play as long as you hold the pad down

you can also go to programs-prams poly then change it to mono and hit open windows this feature allows you to stop one or two pads sounds when you it another one
