Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

i posted this in the wrong forum? but im a screwed and chopped dj but i have had my mpc 2000 for like 3 years now and i want to make beats now so i want to now how can i hook my mpc to my computer and can it work with fl studio and i dont now if i have to have a mixer to hook it up but i got a mixer its a tascam tm -d1000 what do i need to hook it up to my computer and i need to now how to hook up my keyboard to the mpc to and the keyboard i got now is just a radioshack one? so i need a better one i want to do like dirty south beats like lil jon ugk mannie fresh and more....i was thinking a roland fantom are they good??.........thanks.....

come on i now somebody nows how to hook up a keyboard to a akai mpc 2000 and how to hook it up mpc 2000 to a computer?

To use your computer you need an audio interface. Production tools to production tools is midi. Gear output to computer input to record beats (cool edit or something more professional). Try to figure out what your goals are with the equipment.

why use fl studio if you have an mpc
or vise versa?? youre being counter productive. ever heard the saying "keep it simple stupid"??

Buy a midi to USB cable and then hook your MPC from the midi out port to your PC via USB and setup FL to be used with a master midi keyboard (your MPC will be that)
