I want to figure out how to use the MPC pads like a keyboard, say if i got one note and i wanna make each pad have a different note....i know how to use the 16 levels button but that only changes the pitch, i wanna actually alter the note, can anyone help me with this?

you have to and assign autochromatically

in the program and assign screen you have to change the note numbers to where their in that correct order instead of them being scattered like they are to begin with

yea, why is that. I had to do this awhile ago and it was a ****. I always wondered why they didn't just put them in order for you in the first place. :?

Also when you go to change the note numbers, do it before you load up any sounds and then save it as a default template on your flash or zip so when that disk is in the mpc will automatically load up the template.
