loading problems in 2k classic

hey fellas..when i got to the load screen and i try to load anything other than floppy it comes up with a wait screen and never goes away... any body else get this problem with theres...i wanna get a jaz drive but im scared it wont be able to work cuz of this problem..what do you think?

i would make a new post but the same thing just happened to my boy we just ordered the new adhesive pad controller (for under the rubber pads) and everything has been perfect then after 3 days he went to load some samples and it just loads........any body have any ideas?
