Problem with External Zip/MPC/CEP

Whenever I sample a sound into my mpc and I don't want to take the time to chop it on there I save it to my internal zip and bring it over to my external parallel zip on my computer. The problem is when I load it up in CEP or Recycle 2.0 I get these sporatic spots of loud static that totally covers up the music. It isn't there when I listen to it in the MPC but once I transfer it to disk it does this. Anyone know how to stop this from happening or what is causing it? I think it's the zip drive but I don't know how to stop it from occuring.

Inside MPC save the sound/sample as WAV onto the ZIP, then try again..

i tried that. i didn't work. all it did was put the static in different spots.

in your software app if u have any...

Are you running an expired demo of CEP, Recycle or some expired demo direct X/VST plugins?

That could be the reason.. I've seen it before.

That's probably why it plays fine in the MPC but when run through the expired software loud bursts and static are heard. Buy/Register the software and it will go away..

nope my versions of CEP are fine as well as the plugins. And I looked everywhere to remove DC offset and I'm pretty sure it's not on to begin with. The zip is daisy chained to a parallel cd/rw if that makes a difference.

It sounds like one of your plugins is not registered. You will only hear it if you are using that expired plugin.

For the DC Offset info, go into CEP, Help (top menu), Contents, Search tab, type "dc offset" it tells you about it and where to find it..

yep...expired cooledit/plugins...had that too

it's not my **** plugins. it only does this when I transfer a file from my mpc.

Calm down, did you try the DC offset thing yet?

Is the "loud sporatic static" always in the same spots or are they scattered throughout the whole sample randomly every time you restart the sample?

yeah I tried the dc offset--didn't work and the static is so loud you can't hear anything but it. The static is in the same spot when you reopen the sample. I opened a sample on cool edit that I already had on my computer so I know it's not CEP/plugins. I'm starting to think it's my zip drive **** it up when I save.

I don't know what to tell you man, I don't know what it could be. Sorry.
