MPC 2000xl and Triton Extreme

I have a problem....Lamp Dog please help me!

I use my MPC to sequence. I import a program sound from the triton to the sequence mode in the triton.I have channel 1 on triton as midi channel 1 in mpc. all is fine. I hear the sounds with effects and can play from both mpc and triton.But the MPC won't record any midi data from Any channel that has an imported sound. So I have been stuck with all the dry sounds inside the triton sequence mode. If I don't copy a sound in program mode to sequence mode it works flawlessly.
What am I doing wrong?
Is it something to do with MPC or Triton? Sounds to me like it's the MPC

i have found the same thing, when you copy a [rogram to sequence mode, it doesnt seem to copy the effects so your gonna have to apply your effects manually for each channel. And if you copy a combi then that will also be aproblem as the combi is arranged over many channels.

What you could do is play your keyboard and resample what you have played and transfer the sample file to you mpc maybe or sample the keys directly to the mpc.

I have the exact same setup as Lampdog. Even down to the color of our MPC's (orange). Ive been playing around with the MPC-Triton EX for a while now. Hopefully I can save Lampdog from having to reply to this......

What you need to do is make sure when you copy from program to sequence you select the right track to import to. You get an option to copy the program with the effects and the arp.

To make sure that you Triton sounds are recorded to the MPC sequencer I go to the MENU-TRK PARAM page on the EX's sequencer menu page, and select BOTH on each channel.

I hope this sorts you out, if not I think I have a wordpad document I made somewhere which has all my settings for sequencing the MPC and Triton EX together. Because I ONLY use my MPC to sequence all my hardware gear, I saved a Global Preset into the Triton EX's memory so when it boots up its all ready to go without me having to change any settings. I have found the MPC and Triton EX to be an awesome combo.

I appreciate all replies. I have been fiddling around with it but still have not been able to figure it out. I got the channels matching up and copy sounds with effects. It (Triton Extreme) must not like me....
