Do you track your beats into your computer or mix on the MPC? If you track your beats out then I can hook you up with some plug-ins to help your situation...

double up your sample...
meaning the following
say your sample is on pad 42
select the pad next to it (lets just say its 43), put the same sample on it.
go back to your original pad 42 and select the option at the bottom of the assign page. turn your jog wheel till it gives you options so the pad ALSO PLAYS other pads when you trigger it...
you can put two pads that will also play when you trigger 42.
Now enter the pad your new sample is on, (in this case 43.)
now go to pad 43 in program and put the frequency down, the lower you put it the less highs you will hear and more low end...
now when you hit pad 42 it will play 43 at the same time,
this means you will hear your sample with much more low end on it...
hope the explanation was good enough, I dont have the 2k in front of me right now; im at work so some of the terms arent 100% clear but you should be able to figure it out.

The tips listed above are good advice. If you sample in stereo, often keeping your bass in mono helps it a bit.

a lil distorion and eq goes a long way. depends if u like it PG or XXX

shift + program . then hit params. find where it says Filter and frequency will be under it. then just highlight it and scroll the wheel til you like how it sounds
