depends how u wanna use it..... if you want to hook it up on your pc then it would work but I dunno if it will work on the mpc....

i got an external 250 mb scsi already its broken so im lookin for a new one..but if this will work from zip to mpc i just buy an usb zip

but i think it wont work cause the mpc input got a way different shit than the normal scsi cable

See at the bottom where it says package content DRIVER CD? I'm assuming it needs drivers to work. Right then and there you can't load drivers on your MPC so like Prah said "no your problems aren't solved"..
Then again I've never known JUST a cable to need drivers, but a device, yes.

So what is the big news? I thought this was common knowledge. I use SCSI-USB and SCSI-PCMCIA adpaters with the MPC2000XL. SCSI connects to the MPC SCSI port and the USB connects to the PC. I dump data to the internal MPC SCSI drive (Compact flash) from the PC and then load it.

Works just like the MPC1000. This is not really any different than sharing a SCSI zip between the MPC and PC with a SCSI card (though this is not officially recommended).

There is a cheaper model that is <$25 that I plan on testing soon.

ive got a similiar cable...scsi goes into mpc...usb goes into pc...and i just save to scsi 3 - my pc
it beats zips, floppies and therefore
yall should go get one

Let us know when you find out it's compatible and where to purchase it. For $25 it's worth buying rather than shuttling zip disks back and forth between the computer and MPC.

@ mpc 3000 and newk: You say you can save to the internal drive of the mpc via this cable ? I presume that this will only work if your internal drive is a scsi drive of some kind and not an ide drive as is the case in my 2000xl?

Im still bargain hunting on ebay for a usb zip drive(750m) to connect to my pc but they go for up to 100 $ atleast

will these cables work on the MPC2000 (classic) I think the scsi connector is a 25 pin? Is there a 25 pin to usb adapter that someone knows works?
