I can boot from floppy, i have scsi zip, and when i go
>Disk mode, and try to change drive from Floppy to zip it says "wait..."
and it gets stuck till I turn it off.

I havent used my mpc in a really really long time. I just installed the 1.7 os version, i had 1.5 lolol i dont even want to know how long thats been out for , anyone have any thoughts on whats happening???

it freezes even if i dont have it plugged in...

When booting up it reads the floppy, then scsi 7 flashes by, and it starts normally

its all good till i go to disk mode, when i switch from floppy it searches for other drive and gets stuck...

anyone know where i can get an older os like 1.5??? maybe issue with 1.7?

Nah it's not the OS. When you are looking for the scsi device have you tried to turn the dial the other direction to see if it still gets stuck going the other direction. This is really weird that it gets stuck maybe try to load the OS again and use the OS 1.72

if i turn the other way, it looks for F-ROM (no flash rom found) and if i turn again, STUCK!
what a ****!

i have no idea... its been years honestly since i have tried to save anything on the mpc...

So what should i do, is it something i can replace myself?
where do i get the fuse? where do i put it and how do i find out if that is indeed what it is?

Well you can get a new fuse from VST service or you can find one yourself. I can't remember exactly what the ampage is for the fuse cause of course it has to be exactly the same and yes you could do it yourself.
