finally installed 18gb hard drive in 2000xl.I first tried a 80 pin,with an adapter but it didnt work good.I had a 68pin in my old scsi pc,got an adapter and walla it worked! it formated all 18gigs. I had to use 1.14 O.S. to to partition the drive but i got a-s partitions at 958m a piece. i just got the mcd card reader from a blue 2000xl and made all the splices for the power cable to the hard drive. My goal was to make all my custom kits on the pc transfer them on the 1gb compact flash and have a nice library on board the xl , thx JUKE & LUNATIC for all the info.
