MPC2000XLMCD freeze!!!!

the soft rubber pads do excellent job at programming with dynamic drum hits, you can even control the sensitivity of the pads. I never had any mecanical problems, but being made from factory does not guarantee you that yours will have the same quality as mine does. I have heard couple of my friends saying their mpcs freeze a lot, and somehow mine does faster time stretching than theirs.......

i have same problem with freeze from time to time i have a 2000xlmcd and it happen alway on main screen or step. Also quantize and timestretch are really slow. Can be the ram modules?

what can be else anybody suggestion?

10 mins in the micro on defrost will solve all your problems.

do you mean i have to put the ram modules in my micro? why?

Sorry about the bad joke. You have linked to user reviews, some which are completely useless. Have a look at sonicstate and sound on sound for some better reviews.

If you are using third party ram you can run into problems. If it is stock akai ram your mpc shouldn't freeze.

i read allready the other reviews. I wonder cause i have the mpc since 3 years and just last week start to freeze often. Anyway i change the ram and till now no freeze... lets see..

i have akai factory ram and mine never freezes. and it slices samples very fast. i meen like 3 seconds and an 8 bar loop is sliced to 8 pads.
