MPC2000xl card reader problem

hey i bought card reader for mpc2000xl from:

i've installed it but can't choose device- ATAPI. card reader working (green light shows) mpc os 1.2 ;CR jumper on master. I waiting for CF memory card but card reader should working without memory card??

why i can't choose ATAPI, why mpc don't see card reader
please help me....

WEll it could be because you don't have a card in there but I don't think that's the problem the problem is that the card reader is no right for the MPC.
