Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

First I'd like to thank whoever started this site, it's alot of info online but unfortunately discussions always turn into some retarded arguments about Roland vs MPC vs Reason vs whatever. There's actually useful info on this mug.

Anyways I just copped the MPC 2kXL and it's driving me flipping crazy. Read the manual, bought the e-book, and I'm still scratching my head. I've been using Reason for awhile and after a couple of weeks of tutoring with producers in the Atlanta, I was straight. I'd love to do the same on the MPC, especially since I've always **** with software and never got down like this. Looking for someone in the San Diego area that knows their iiish, that can mentor me for a minute.

Oh, and I know the game is to be sold and not told, so I'm more than willing to compensate you for your time. FYI I'm especially interested in the timestretching, beat matching, and loop sampling aspects of the MPC. Thanks in advance and in the meantime I'll keep combing these posts to peep game. Peace

im from mira mesa, it took me a long time to learn the MPC, but im sort of comfortable with it. Been recently doing time stretching. Not the best at it, but when im free i can shoot you some emails to help you out, just gotta finish school first. I read the manuals and they took me a while... but its better than nothing.
good luck with the mpc!
