sample is replaced when i load drum program

O.k., so I am pretty new to my 2000xl ,but am experienced on other equipment.My problem is;I know how to catch a sample and break it down to sixteen pads(bank A).But then,when I try to load a drum program,it replaces my sample on pad bank A's sixteen pads.I started adding drum sound (snd) files, one at a time,to the other pad banks,but that is very time consuming.Can I protect pad bank A,or something?Or is there a way to load a drum program file to only pad bank B,C,or D?Pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeeee help,I would be eternally greatful.Thanks.

Either load the drums after you sample or load them manually.

If I load the drum program first,then the sample replaces pad bank A,and the other 3 pad banks are erased.

That happens to me bro. I just load the drums on a seperate bank.

Your samples are not erased, they are just replaced with the new program. You can go to 'programs' (shift+6) and asign the drum-pgm and the sample-pgm to drum 1-4. or you can load your drum-pgm and then adjust manually your sample-pgm with the drums you want in there.

what ever the drum number is on the xl in the seq when u load,is where the pgm. will load.when u load a pgm. & its on drum 2 thats the slot it will load in.
