You mean folders? The 2k can't do folders like the XL can, but you can make programs instead. Then take what you need and purge after deleting the programs again.

Make seperate partitions on the 2000 disk and use those partitions the same way you would use folders. Be aware that you can only make so many partitions.

"4. Set the partitioning. When you are using a large disk such as a
hard disk, it is easier to manage the files by dividing the disk space.
The divided parts are called partitions and are named in alphabetical
order. The Partition size= field will display each partition
set in the Parts: field.
When A-A is selected in the Parts: field, the disk will not be
partitioned. When A-D is selected in the Parts: field, the disk
will be divided into four partitions: A, B, C, and D. The disk space
will be equally divided. In the above illustration, the total disk
space is 400 Mega, and therefore, each partition space is 100Mega."

2000 got no directory storage....1 program at a time too, strait up....i mean, if you can't make a dope beat outta 64 samples though.......i dunno, maybe you on some big orchestration type production...in that case, an xL or newer is best....but really, if you're using 100mb zips it dont take 2 long to find your pgm file or ALL file or whatever...i used a 2000 for 8 years....twas all good...only switched to the xl to collab w/folks who have XL's...
