Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

im trying to resample, and every time i hit do it, it just freezes, anyone know what the deal is? i mean i have the most memory you can put in this **** ....so whats up?

it dint freeze, you have to wait for it to finish and also if you have less than 32 ram it will take even longer. Not saying that it will move at lighting speed with 32 but it will be faster. it is the same as putting ram on you computer., why do you think people have like 2g ram on there computer because it frees up more memory for the comp to work with

i have 32mb but how long does that shit normally take, cuz im screamin like 2 -3 minutes i waited. also if you resample something, it doesnt forever take up ram does it? you can delete that shit right?

It takes FOREVER. For short drum samples, it's not so bad, but for longer samples it can take like half an hour. I usually only resample stuff when I'm working on something not on the MPC, and I just come back to the MPC every few minutes to resample the next sound.

this feature would be one of the only weakness on your mpc besides no CD burning
