Getting 16 levels to work with keyboard

Hi,
I have a keyboard with pretty limited sound options, and I wanted to play some bass samples I have on the MPC via keyboard, so I could play notes. I used the 16 levels option on the MPC so I can play different notes on the MPC pad, but when I try to play it on the keyboard it still plays the samples that correspond to each pad in the program bank (So instead of playing different notes of the bass it'll still play snare, hi-hat, cymbal, etc...).

Anyone know how to get this to work?

Hey lampdog, that helped out, im getting closer and closer to getting the hang of this thing...

One more question: Is there a way to have seperate tracks playing at the same time with different programs? For example I have track 1 set up as the bassline with program 1 being the autochromatic bass note program, and track 2 would use program 2, which contains all the drum samples...

The MPC doesn't let me do that though, when I try to record track 2 with the drum samples it'll automatically start playing track 1 notes using program 2, so instead of a bassline i get random snares and other drums playing.

Any way to make this work or can you only work with only 1 program if you want to use seperate tracks?

Yea it works now! I dont know why it wasn't working before, that was weird. It kinda confused me how theres 2 ways to change the program, you can change the number in the [Pgm: ] field or in the [S:DRUMx] field... but I figured it out. Thanks Lampdog, you do any DJ-ing or anything like that around SD?
