Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I know this is possible and it kind of alters the starting point of the sample as you play down the pads.

If anyone out here is familiar I'm sure you know how its very inaccurate.

My question is actually regarding how when you use this method each pad cuts each other off as if the entire bank is monophonic.. is there any way to do that without using that shitty velocity chop.

I know what your talking about and I've yet to find a way to make them all mono and cut off like that without using the velocity chop. You have to get creative with the 1 note mutes 2 in the params screen.

yeh fasttrack you know what im talking about.

i still cant quite understand what the machine is doing when you chop like that.. ive only successfully used it occasionally.

my boy let me on his 4000 the other day and one of the things that first took me back is that 1.. you can use more than one program.. damn... and 2.. you can turn a whole program mono.

shit is crazy

I think someone in the 3000 forum explained something like that a while ago...can't remember the steps exactly though, if I find it I'll post it here.

True..

I mean yeh it chops your shit up real weird.. and tweaking one chop means tweaking all of them so is kinda useless..

but theres gotta be SOME WAY you can make a whole program or bank monophonic... what if you use a midi keyboard that's set to monophony ?

i know some of the patches in my micro korg are monophonic.. like bass and shit.

the 2000 and xl don't seem to have the option of turning a whole bank to mono.. a monophonic program bank would only allow you to play one sound at a time.. making the organizing of a chopped sample in a sequence easier

nahmean ? you CAN however do this on a 4000, 1000, and the 2500
