gate fuction on 2000xl?

is there a way to gate samples on a 2000xl? ive been up and down the manual several times i figure if my boss 303 can do it the mpc has to hopefully

shift + program. params. change overlap from POLY to Note Off

i think you gotta go under programs to where it says Note Off... I believe it's Note Off, or Poly or Mono... Note Off I believe tho... I know its there just not sure if thats the right name.. enjoy homie
