Creating folder on MPC2000xl

Hi folks,

I've created some folders on a floppydisk. example: 1 folder named BB (for my breakbeats), SN (for snare), etc... and placed some samples in these folders. Just plain mono *.wav's. When i load this disk in my mpc2000xl, the machine says "unknown file type". When i place the same wav's in my root, the sounds load okay... I recently installed v1.20 and because it's an mpc2000XL it should read folders, so what am i doing wrong? In addition, i also can't create folders on the mpc itself. The manual describes it can read folders from scsi-harddisks and CD-ROMS, but not floppy's... is this true?

i think you need os 1.14 for floppies and 1.20 is for mpcs with compact flash cards that are 1 gig, im not sure but try installing 1.14 and then see what happens.. or wait for someone with a response who knows the exact answer... cant hurt to try tho good luck

I've installed OS 1.14 on the MPC but unfortunately...
Stilll won't recognize/ create folders.....
Anyone?
