Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I synced up my MPC to the DIGI002 RACK and im trying to use the PRO TOOLS LE to track out my instruments but wen i record the stupid shit slowly starts gettin off tempo after the 8th bar.......anybody know anythin?...basically i used the MPC as the sequencer 2 make the beat n then wen i "finish" the beat i track it out onpro tools so if i ever wanted 2 edit volumes, add guitar solos or watever i could just open up the session on protools...IS THERE A MORE CONVENIENT WAY OF DOING THINGS??? or is this probably the most convenient way technology is rite now :? ........

when its sync'd set pt as the controller and the mpc as the slave. i dont know if you already have it like that but it should keep time good. what are your settings?

yah i think PT is already the contoller. i control wat the tempo is & wen it starts recordin on PT. This is my settings i dont know alot bout the syncing settings (like MMC, MIDI CLOCK, MTC) so lemme know if im messing up, i have my mpc on midi clock and MMC is turned on and on pro tools aint it just clicking a button that turns on the midi clock....but basically wen its "synced" together i could click to move to the next bar on pt and it will also move on the mpc.. i didn't noticed that the beat was getttin off tempo till like 2mins into the beat but this is wat happnes wen recording: the first 4 bars are synced perfect they loop good n everything but then like wen i noticed on the 8th bar i zoomed the most it could on pt and i saw that it was off by one of those grid lines and slowly throughout the instrumental it gets off tempo, but ive just been trimmin it after every 8th bar throughout the song so it stays on tempo but i shouldn't bein doin that type of shit EVERY 8th bar if its supposed 2 b "synced up properly" rite? do i have my settings wrong?

what kind of pc are you running? cause that kinda sounds like a latency issue. and you can just turn on mtc in the same window that you use mmc.

just switch the midi clock to mtc on both and you should be good.

you could also change the tempo on pt to get the grid to match up... temporary fix
