Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Has anyone ever used some kind of channel strip or eq/compressor when sampling on the way in to the MPC? Is there any way of re-sampling with external gear with the 2000xl like the MPC 1000 does?

I usually record everything into my DAW on separate tracks and do any kind of signal processing from there. But I would like to tweak some samples before that process.

it wouldnt hurt to try it out. the mpc 2000 or xl cannot resample them selves.

the xl can resample, but only within itself. You can resample from 16 down to 12 or 8 bit and increase or decrease the frequency of the sample.

Shift+5(Trim)---->Open Window (when sound name highlighted)---->scroll to resample.

yeh that term always confuses ppl, i would refer to it as bouncing down. and no the XL cannot do this like the 1000 does, Youll have to feed it into your computer, then reload/sample it via disk or the analogue in's.
