Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

got a new zip drive(go-get-a-card-reader-guys....now!!!) with 50 pin scsi connection-but only a floppy cable.....where can I get a cable thats useable for my 2000 classick?
not the power cable,ya know....

If you use the tutorial for installing an internal SCSI card-reader in the 2k it will probably be similar.

Otherwise the mod for the 2k to take an internal SCSI Zip is supposed to be some highly complicated thing that Forat and VST charge $300 to do. You might be out of luck homie...

yeh it involves soldering a sh1te load of wires onto the board.

from my memory, the guy removed the end off the scsi ribbon cable, exposing each wire as a seperate strand, and soldered each wire onto the corresonding pins on the underside on the mpc2k mainboard. looks so fiddly it wasnt funny. you'd have to be pretty confident with electronics to attempt the mod, or be willing to spill the beans for a pro to do it.
