disc error? help please

whats sup guys i just got my mpc2000xl like two weeks ago used and i got three discs hip hop- funk - and standard.. anyways they were workinf fine now when i try the hip-hop one it starts to load a couple of the sounds then it stops to say disc error can i fix this problem.. oh yea and the standard samples will let me load half and the othe ones don't come out.. thanks

sound like the disk is shot

clean your drive with a cleaning disk from Radio shack, and turn off your MPC overnight and try again the next day. Once you load them, save them to another disk.
