Going back on my brothers purchase

my brother went to the guitar center and bought a 1000 and gave it to me but i find it a restrictive around the sampling, memory areas. it also has no tilted display(bothers me) and the pads are smaller than 2000xl and to top it off i really dont even mess with my computer other than to get mp3s and look at these types of forums what do you think? i was going to go ebay and get a fully blown one.

get a 2000xl...lol....i say this because i think the 1000 is geared more towards people who use computer programs for choppin and other stuff
