slider replacement

My friend needs to replace his note variation slider because it hasnt worked since he copped the 2kxl. Its only $10 for the replacement part on vst, I was wondering if anyone has come across a guide so that he can do this himself? Or is it possible that the fix could just involve taking the cover off and cleaning the contacts? Any help would be kick a$$. Thanks in advance.

Why don't you just try it first before ordering the new slider? It depends what is wrong with it. Perhaps simple cleaning will do the job.

That's strange, cause I just typed "slider replacement" and found at least 7 or 8 topics...
Don't forget to use the >> AND << connector when typing more then 1 word in search bar. It says there on the search page, but many time people just don't care to read it...
