Propellerhead ReCycle 2.1 Question

Any one uses this software for chopping up loops samples
well i am looking foward to buying this software
but i was wondering does this software export wav and snd files ??
so i can just save them on a zip
and throw them on my mpc 2k
can someone answer my question

There is no automated transfer between recycle and the MPC.

Recycle exports wav slices + a midi file - so put these files on your zip disk.
It doesn't make a PGM or SND file. It can export Akai .akp files but these are for S5000 & S6000 samplers not MPC's. The MPC can't read REX files either.

You have to manualy import these files (each wav slice to a separate pad + midi file) to replicate the loop on your mpc.

One thing to note is the MIDI notes on MPC pads do not run in numerical order and the midi file generated by recycle is in numerical order (like on a piano keyboard). Its best to create a Blank.PGM file on your MPC which has your pads numbered correctly (eg Pad:A01=Note:35, Pad:A02=Note:36 etc upto 98) correctly before you import.
Now your Blank.PGM file will be a virtual MIDI keyboard.

If you have MPC editor you can take your exported wav files and drop them in the editor and have them made into a program. Also as stated above make a blank program that rearranges the pads in midi note order.
