Midi question please help!

hey this might be a retarded question but i need a little help.
along with the MPC 2000xl i have a korg drum machine and a korg twelve track digital recorder. All i want to do is to hit play on the MPC and have the play start on the other 2 devices. hell i would settle for it starting on 1 device. i set the mpc up as the master, and the korg drum machine as the slave, but no go. same with the 12 track. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. this has been bothering me for sometime. thanks in advance!

try using MTC/MMC on all of your devices. starts on page 178 of the manual for instructions.

Try:
MPC Midi out ----> midi in recorder
recorder Midi out ----> mpc midi in
mpc midi out ----> other midi devices

set all devices to MTC with 24 or 30 frames per second.
